Develop your ink drawing skills in this nature-focused class taught by artist and horticulturalist Jess Kohnert. You’ll learn the basic techniques for creating texture and value with black ink, and you’ll get some practice live drawing from plants in the comfort of our cafe. Then, Jess will show you how to use watercolor to accent your drawings, giving them extra vibrancy and allowing you to play with color. We’ll have watercolors for you to use in class. Plus, you’ll get to take home these essential supplies:

  • Fluid 6” x 6” Hot Press Watercolor Block

  • Three sizes of Sakura Micron pigment liners

  • A white Gelly Roll pen for bright highlights

  • Sakura Koi refillable water brush

  • Tombow MONO #2 pencil

  • Soft blue eraser

With these supplies, you’ll be able to get right to drawing when you get home from class. Your $45 class fee covers the supply kit and three hours of expert instruction with a small class size (limited to 10 students).
